FAQs

It states the core phala of Linga-pratiṣṭhā: when Shiva is installed with correct mantra-vidhi and ritual propriety, the act becomes a liberating upāya leading to Shiva-sāyujya.

Shiva is presented as sarvajña (omniscient) and sarvaga (all-pervading), indicating Pati—the supreme Lord—whose presence is not limited to the installed form, though the installed Linga becomes a sanctioned locus for communion.

Linga-pratiṣṭhā performed vidyā-vidhānataḥ (by mantric prescription) and yathā-nyāya (by proper ritual rule), aligning external pūjā with the inner aim of release of the paśu from pāśa toward union with Pati.
