FAQs

Indirectly: by addressing Mādhava as lord of past and future, the verse points to a supreme principle that transcends time while governing cyclical manifestation (creation after dissolution).

No specific practice is taught in this verse; it sets the inquiry-framework (śravaṇa: attentive listening to revealed teaching) that later supports dharma and yoga instructions in the Purāṇic discourse.

By placing cosmological authority in Mādhava while maintaining Purāṇic dialogue style that often harmonizes sectarian strands, it supports the text’s broader Shaiva–Vaishnava synthesis: the same supreme lord is invoked as the source of cosmic order.
