पिता पितामहश्चैव तथैव प्रपितामहः / यो यस्य म्रियते तस्मै देयं नान्यस्य तेन तु

pitā pitāmahaścaiva tathaiva prapitāmahaḥ / yo yasya mriyate tasmai deyaṃ nānyasya tena tu

ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบิดา ปู่ หรือทวด—ผู้ใดเป็นผู้ตายของผู้ใด ก็พึงถวายทาน/ปิณฑะแก่ผู้นั้นเท่านั้น; ไม่พึงถวายแทนกันด้วยเหตุของผู้อื่น
