समाहितं यस्य मन: प्रशान्तं दानादिभि: किं वद तस्य कृत्यम् । असंयतं यस्य मनो विनश्यद् दानादिभिश्चेदपरं किमेभि: ॥ ४६ ॥

หากจิตของผู้ใดตั้งมั่นและสงบอย่างสมบูรณ์ แล้วเขายังต้องทำทานพิธีกรรมและกุศลพิธีอื่นใดอีกเล่า? และหากจิตของผู้ใดยังไม่ถูกควบคุม หลงพินาศในอวิชชา แล้วกิจเหล่านั้นจะมีประโยชน์อะไรแก่เขา?
