Kṛṣṇa’s Queens, Their Sons, and Balarāma’s Victory over Rukmī at Dice
Aniruddha–Rocanā Marriage Context
tadābravīn nabho-vāṇī balenaiva jito glahaḥ dharmato vacanenaiva rukmī vadati vai mṛṣā
This verse shows that even when force decides an outcome, dharma is measured by truth and rightful speech; the divine voice condemns Rukmī’s false claim and upholds what is righteous.
In the narrative, Rukmī tries to deny or twist the result of the wager; the heavenly voice intervenes to establish the dharmic verdict and expose his untruth before Balarāma and the assembly.
When conflicts arise, don’t rely only on power or manipulation—align your words with truth and fairness, because dharma ultimately stands with honest conduct.
