FAQs

This verse states that although Śatadhanu was killed, the jewel was not recovered from him—showing the danger of acting on incomplete information and the need for truth in dharmic judgment.

Krishna informed Balarama that the intended goal—recovering the Syamantaka jewel—was not achieved, so the killing did not resolve the issue and could not clear the matter without further investigation.

Do not conclude guilt or take drastic action without evidence; verify facts, pursue truth carefully, and avoid decisions driven by rumor, anger, or social pressure.
