Atharva Veda 9.5.7 — Kanda 9, Anuvaka 1, Sukta 5, Mantra 7

Sukta 5

अ॒जो अ॒ग्निर॒जमु॒ ज्योति॑राहुर॒जं जीव॑ता ब्र॒ह्मणे॒ देय॑माहुः । अ॒जस्तमां॒स्यप॑ हन्ति दू॒रम॒स्मिंल्लो॒के श्र॒द्दधा॑नेन द॒त्तः

ajó agnír ajám u jyótiḥ ā́hur ajáṃ jī́vatā brā́hmaṇe déyam ā́huḥ | ajás tamā́ṃsy ápa hanti dūráṃ asmíṃl lóke śraddádhānena dattáḥ ||

Unborn is Agni—Unborn, forsooth, they call the Light; Unborn, life-bestowing, they declare a gift to be bestowed upon the Brāhmaṇa. The Unborn drives darkness far away, when here in this world it is given by one of faithful mind.

อชา (Ajā) เป็นผู้ไม่เกิด; อัคนี (Agni) ก็เป็นผู้ไม่เกิด—แท้จริงเขาทั้งหลายเรียกผู้ไม่เกิดนั้นว่า “แสงสว่าง” ผู้ไม่เกิด ผู้ประทานชีวิต ถูกประกาศว่าเป็นทานที่พึงถวายแก่พราหมณ์ (Brāhmaṇa) ผู้ไม่เกิดขับความมืดให้ไกลออกไป—เมื่อในโลกนี้มีผู้มีศรัทธาถวายทานนั้น.
