Sukta 3

यस्त्वा॑ शाले निमि॒माय॑ संज॒भार॒ वन॒स्पती॑न्। प्र॒जायै॑ चक्रे त्वा शाले परमे॒ष्ठी प्र॒जाप॑तिः

yás tvā́ śāle nimimā́ya saṃjahā́ra vanaspátīn | prajā́yai cakre tvā śāle parameṣṭhī́ prajā́patiḥ ||

He who, O House, measured thee forth and gathered together the forest-lords (the timbers),—Prajāpati, the Highest-Stationed, made thee, O House, for progeny.

โอ้ ศาลา (เรือน) ผู้ใดเล่าที่วัดกำหนดเจ้า และรวบรวม “เจ้าแห่งพงไพร” (vanaspati คือไม้ท่อนทั้งหลาย) ผู้นั้นคือ ปรชาปติ (Prajāpati) ผู้สถิตในสถานสูงสุด ผู้สร้างเจ้า โอ้ ศาลา เพื่อความมีบุตรหลาน
