Sukta 3
सोमो मा विश्वैर्देवैरुदीच्या दिशः पातु बाहुच्युता पृथिवी द्यामिवोपरि । लोककृतः पथिकृतो यजामहे ये देवानां हुतभागा इह स्थ
sómo mā víśvair deváir udī́cyā diśáḥ pātu bāhucyútā pṛthivī́ dyā́m iva úpari | lokakṛ́taḥ pathikṛ́to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṃ hutábhāgā ihá sthá ||
May Soma, with all the Gods, guard me from the northern quarter; and Earth, slipped from my arm, be over me as it were the Sky. The world-ordainers, the path-ordainers—those who have their portion of oblation among the Gods—we worship: here may they stand.
ขอให้โสมะ (Soma) พร้อมด้วยเทพทั้งปวง ปกปักรักษาข้าพเจ้าจากทิศเหนือ; และขอให้แผ่นดิน—ซึ่งหลุดจากแขนของข้าพเจ้า—อยู่เหนือข้าพเจ้าดุจดังท้องฟ้า. เราบูชาเหล่าผู้จัดระเบียบโลก ผู้จัดระเบียบหนทาง—ผู้มีส่วนแห่งเครื่องบูชาในหมู่เทพทั้งหลาย; ขอให้ท่านทั้งหลายยืนอยู่ ณ ที่นี้.
