यत् कृ॒षते॒ यद् व॑नु॒ते यच्च॑ व॒स्नेन॑ वि॒न्दते॑ । सर्वं॒ मर्त्य॑स्य॒ तन्नास्ति॑ क्र॒व्याच्चेदनि॑राहितः

IAST Transliteration

yát kṛṣáte yád vanuté yác ca vásnena vindáte | sárvaṃ mártyasya tán nā́sti kravyā́c céd anirāhitaḥ

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

What he gaineth by tillage, what he winneth, and what he findeth by purchase,—all that of a mortal is not (secure), if the flesh-devourer be not duly established.

Translation

สิ่งที่เขาได้มาด้วยการไถหว่าน สิ่งที่เขาชนะมา และสิ่งที่เขาพบได้ด้วยการซื้อขาย—ทั้งหมดนั้นของมนุษย์ย่อมไม่มั่นคง หากผู้กินเนื้อ (kravyād) มิได้ตั้งไว้ตามพิธี.
