अन्ये॑भ्यस्त्वा॒ पुरु॑षेभ्यो॒ गोभ्यो॒ अश्वे॑भ्यस्त्वा । निः क्र॒व्यादं॑ नुदामसि॒ यो अ॒ग्निर्जी॑वित॒योप॑नः
anyébhyaḥ tvā púruṣebhyo góbhyo áśvebhyas tvā | níḥ kravyā́daṃ nudāmasi yó agnír jīvitayópanāḥ ||
From other men, from cattle, from horses—from them we guard thee: the flesh-eater we drive forth, even Agni who draws near with life.
จากมนุษย์อื่น ๆ จากโค จากม้า—เราปกปักรักษาเจ้าให้พ้นจากพวกนั้น; ผู้กินเนื้อ (kravyād) เราขับออกไป: ด้วยอัคนี (Agni) ผู้เข้ามาใกล้พร้อมด้วยชีวิต
