FAQs

It points to technical disciplines taught in the Agni Purana—especially Jyotiṣa (astral/time computation), a warfare/victory manual (Yuddha-jayārṇava), Manvantara-based chronology, and varṇa-dharma regulations.

Rather than a single ritual instruction, it functions as a contents-style register, showing the Purana’s scope across astral science, military science, cosmological time-cycles, and normative law—hallmarks of the Agni Purana as an encyclopedia of Puranic wisdom.

By framing these subjects as “sung/expounded,” the verse implies that studying and transmitting them is part of dharma: right knowledge of time (Jyotiṣa), righteous conduct (varṇa-dharma), and ordered history (Manvantaras) supports disciplined living and merit through learned adherence to dharma.
