Chapter 381 —
Yama-gītā
ghaṭadhvaṃsādyathākāśamabhinnaṃ nabhasā bhavet mukto jīvo brahmaṇaivaṃ sadbrahma brahma vai bhavet
Lord Agni (teaching to the sage Vashistha in the Agni Purana’s instructional dialogue frame)
Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Philosophy","secondary_vidya":"Advaita-Vedanta","practical_application":"Uses the pot-space analogy to internalize nonduality: liberation is removal of limiting adjuncts, not creation of a new Self.","sutra_style":true}

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Related Themes: Agni Purana 381.36 (jiva freed from ignorance)
It imparts Brahma-vidya (non-dual knowledge): liberation is described as the jiva’s recognized non-difference from Brahman, illustrated through the pot-space (ghaṭākāśa) analogy.
Alongside rituals, governance, and arts, the Agni Purana also preserves Vedantic moksha-doctrine; this verse is a compact philosophical teaching that complements its broad, encyclopedic scope.
It directs the seeker toward identity-realization (jiva = Brahman), implying cessation of bondage and karmic limitation through knowledge—freedom like pot-space merging into infinite sky.
