Related Themes: Agni Purana 92 (Puja-vidhi / Devi-nama-mantra-vidhi sections)
It provides a structured set of Goddess-epithets (nāma/saṃjñā) intended for ritual invocation—useful for japa, nyāsa-style recollection of forms, and identifying iconographic markers like the lotus and multi-faced manifestations.
By cataloguing precise devotional nomenclature and iconographic identifiers, it functions like a ritual handbook section—one of the Agni Purana’s many practical compendia (alongside temple rites, vows, governance, medicine, and arts).
Recitation and contemplation of these names is presented as a means to align the worshipper with auspiciousness (Bhadrā), victory (Jayā), fullness/completion (Pūrṇā), and inner detachment (Riktā), thereby supporting purification and merit through correctly framed devotion.
