Related Themes: Agni Purana 92 (Śalya/varṇa-vinyāsa context)
It teaches a practical, diagram-based method: write the Sanskrit Mātr̥kā letters grouped into eight vargas on a board or ground, and use that ordered grouping (mapped through directions) as a framework for organizing/deriving śalya-jñāna (knowledge for identifying or classifying embedded foreign bodies).
It blends medical-technical content (Shalya/Surgery) with a schematic use of phonetic/letter classification (Mātr̥kā vargas) and spatial-directional ordering—showing how the Agni Purana compiles practical sciences alongside ritual-symbolic systems.
By aligning technical knowledge with ordered letters and directions (a sacralized structure in Indic traditions), the verse frames healing and diagnosis as disciplined, purity-oriented knowledge—supporting the idea that correct method and right order aid both efficacy and auspiciousness.
