Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Tantra","secondary_vidya":"Philosophy","practical_application":"Guidance for kuṇḍalinī-oriented inner practice: recognize the śakti-nāda driven ascent as the summit of śakti-experience, and contemplate prāṇa as beyond measurable objectification to avoid reifying experiences.","sutra_style":true}
Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Commentary","entry_title":"Śakti-nāda ascent and prāṇa beyond prameya (non-objectifiable)","lookup_keywords":["shakti-nada","urdhva-sanchara","prana","prameya","kundalini"],"quick_summary":"The ascent propelled by śakti’s sound-current is treated as the apex of śakti’s manifestation, yet prāṇa is ultimately not an object to be measured or fixed—preventing attachment to subtle experiences."}
Concept: Prāṇa/Śakti is not fully capturable by prameya (objectifying measures); the yogic ascent is a phenomenological peak but not the final ontological limit.
Application: Do not cling to ‘signs’ of ascent (sounds, movements); use them as markers, then rest in non-objectifying awareness of prāṇa.
Khanda Section: Yoga / Tantra (Prāṇa–Śakti doctrine; Kuṇḍalinī-oriented inner practice)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A yogin with a rising luminous current from base to crown, accompanied by subtle sound-symbols; above, an abstract field indicating prāṇa beyond measurement, with measuring tools fading away to show ‘prameya-vivarjana’.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, yogin in padmāsana, red-gold śakti current rising, stylized nāda glyphs spiraling upward, background shows dissolving geometric measuring marks, serene facial expression, temple-mural palette.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting, gold-highlighted ascending energy column, ornate halo, nāda depicted as golden conch-like spirals, upper space rendered as unpatterned luminous gold to signify immeasurable prāṇa.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore style, semi-diagrammatic: base-to-crown ascent arrows, nāda waveforms, a small ‘scale/ruler’ motif fading near the top labeled prameya (conceptually), clean instructional composition.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, delicate translucent anatomy motif with rising light, fine ink sound-curves, scholars’ measuring instruments in the margin dissolving into wash, refined borders and subdued tones."}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"contemplative","suggested_raga":"Kedar","pace":"slow","voice_tone":"contemplative"}
Sandhi Resolution Notes: शक्तिनादोर्ध्वसञ्चारः → शक्ति-नाद-ऊर्ध्व-सञ्चारः; तच्छक्ति… → तत् + शक्ति…; निखिलस्यापि → निखिलस्य + अपि.
Related Themes: Agni Purana 88 (prāṇa–śakti–nāda discussion)
It teaches a yogic-tantric principle: Śakti manifests as nāda (inner vibration), and its disciplined upward ascent is treated as the culminating state of Śakti—pointing to nāda-yoga/prāṇa-sādhana rather than an external ritual.
Alongside ritual, polity, and other sciences, the Agni Purana also preserves subtle-body theory—mapping prāṇa, śakti, and nāda in technical language—showing its coverage of yoga/tantra as part of its multi-disciplinary scope.
By framing prāṇa/śakti as beyond fixed measurement and emphasizing upward ascent, the verse points to inner purification and liberation-oriented practice: realization of a subtler, unbounded life-force rather than attachment to quantifiable powers.
