Related Themes: Agni Purana 81 (Agneya-vidyā, homa-vidhi sequence)
It teaches a homa-prayoga: visualize the kuṇḍa as the deity’s mouth, offer inner/heart-intentioned oblations (hṛdāhuti), and then employ Agni’s saptajihvā bīja-syllables as the operative mantric component of the rite.
It exemplifies the text’s practical ritual technology—combining visualization (dhyāna), inner discipline (hṛdāhuti), and mantra mechanics (bīja)—showing how the Purana functions as a manual for applied worship alongside its broader teachings.
By aligning outer offering with inner intention and mantra, the rite is framed as both purification and efficacy-enhancement: the act becomes a disciplined sacrifice of will and desire into Agni, traditionally held to yield merit (puṇya) and successful attainment of the intended result (īpsita).
