FAQs

It prescribes a sequence in worship: after completing nitya and naimittika rites, perform pūjā using damana as an offering, then present the remaining flowers as an añjali while reciting Ātmavidyā and Śiva-oriented mantras.

It exemplifies the text’s practical ritual manual dimension—codifying procedural details (offerings, order of actions, mantra-application) alongside broader theology, showing the Agni Purana’s coverage of lived religious practice.

By integrating regular and occasion-based duties with mantra-infused offerings to Śiva-as-Self, the act is framed as both karmic purification (through correct rite) and inner alignment (through Ātmavidyā/Śiva contemplation).
