Related Themes: Agni Purana 70 (pratiṣṭhā sequence leading into parivāra topics); Agni Purana 71 (Gaṇeśa worship begins; Gaṇa named here as parivāra element)
It introduces the consecration (pratiṣṭhā) and related ritual steps, specifically focusing on establishing Hari (Viṣṇu) together with his parivāra-devatās (attendant deities) such as Sūryeśa, Gaṇa, and Śakti.
It frames the text as a practical ritual manual: not only the main deity’s installation, but also the structured inclusion of subsidiary/attendant deities—showing Agni Purana’s comprehensive coverage of temple procedure and liturgical taxonomy.
By installing and worshipping Hari along with the full retinue in the prescribed manner, the rite is understood to make worship complete (pūrṇatā), strengthening merit (puṇya) and the stability (pratiṣṭhā) of divine presence in the shrine.
