Concept: Saṃskāra through vessels: water becomes tīrtha by adhivāsana and mantra-intent; careful setup is itself a form of worship.
Application: Before abhiṣeka, place and stabilize pots by direction, verify cleanliness and fullness, and proceed only after formal installation to maintain ritual integrity.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 57.7 (catuṣkumbha staging); Agni Purana 57.6 (directional nyāsa preceding abhiṣeka)
It teaches abhiṣeka-vidhi logistics: ritually installing (adhivāsa) the water-pots/kalaśas and arranging them according to the four directions before performing consecration.
Beyond mythic narration, it preserves step-by-step temple and household worship engineering—directional layout, vessel placement, and preparatory consecration (adhivāsa)—showing the text’s practical ritual manual dimension.
Correctly establishing the kalaśas with reverence is treated as a purity-enhancing prerequisite that makes the abhiṣeka ritually valid, thereby supporting auspiciousness and merit (puṇya) through orderly worship.
