Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Commentary","entry_title":"Cakra–bindu placement and fruit-classification for Mīnaādi forms; mukti linkage for Varāha–Nṛsiṃha–Vāmana","lookup_keywords":["Mīnaādi","bindu","madhya-cakra","kāmya","mukti"],"quick_summary":"The verse gives a technical ritual note on a subtle bindu placement relative to a central cakra and classifies the intended fruits of avatāra-linked worship, including a liberation-oriented application for Varāha, Nṛsiṃha, and Vāmana."}

Concept: Ritual form (yantra placement) and iṣṭa (intended fruit) must be aligned; liberation (mukti) is approached through specific avatāra-upāsanā as prescribed.

Application: When constructing/visualizing the cakra-yantra, place/meditate on the bindu as instructed; choose avatāra-mantra sets according to whether the aim is kāmya results or mukti-oriented practice.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: śānta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A ritual diagram: a central cakra with a small bindu placed below it; surrounding panels show Matsya and other early avatāras; a separate triad highlights Varāha, Nṛsiṃha, and Vāmana with ‘mukti’ emphasis; scribal marginal variant notes appear.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, stylized yantra with bold cakra and bindu, avatāra figures in medallions, palm-leaf manuscript with variant readings, lamp-lit sanctum ambience.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore, gold-embossed cakra-yantra centerpiece, small gilded avatāra icons around, Varāha-Nṛsiṃha-Vāmana triad highlighted with ornate frames, rich reds and greens.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore style, clear instructional yantra drawing with labels (cakra, bindu), side illustrations of avatāras, scribe’s variant note shown as margin annotation, didactic clarity.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, scholar-priest drawing a cakra diagram on paper, fine geometric precision, small painted avatāra vignettes, marginalia indicating alternate manuscript reading."}

FAQs

It classifies a fivefold sequence (beginning with “Mīna”) as kāmya/dual-purpose and specifies a yantra-detail: a subtle bindu is to be placed below the central cakra, indicating precise ritual geometry for mantra-yantra practice.

Alongside theology (avatāras like Varāha, Narasiṃha, Vāmana), it preserves technical ritual instructions—mantra taxonomy (kāmya/ubhayātmikā) and yantra layout (cakra and bindu)—showing the Purāṇa’s coverage of applied liturgy and esoteric ritual science.

By linking the practice to Varāha–Narasiṃha–Vāmana and stating “for mukti,” the verse frames the technique as not merely wish-fulfilling but also liberation-oriented, directing ritual efficacy toward purification and release.
