It prescribes āchāra for a Vaiṣṇava yati: truthful speech, mental purity, and the use of simple, non-possessive utensils (gourd/wood/leaf/clay) consistent with renunciant discipline.
Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purāṇa catalogs practical norms of life—here, ethics (truthful speech), psychology (purity of mind), and material culture (permitted utensils) within dharma-śāstra style guidance.
Truth-purified speech and a purified mind are presented as core instruments of inner cleansing, while minimal, natural utensils reduce attachment and support sattvic conduct, aiding spiritual merit and steadiness in vows.
