Devavrata
Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Stotra","secondary_vidya":"Vrata","practical_application":"Provides a stuti-like identification of a sacred support as sarvadevamayi and a boon-request for perpetual divine indwelling; used in consecration and daily worship sankalpa.","sutra_style":false}
Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Mantra","entry_title":"Sarvadevamayi-stuti and request for nitya-sannidhya","lookup_keywords":["sarvadevamayi","punya","nishchala","tushta","tishthantu"],"quick_summary":"The worship-support is praised as holy and all-deity-formed; the devotee asks that pleased deities abide permanently—framing pratiṣṭhā as ongoing presence, not momentary visitation."}
Alamkara Type: Stuti (guna-kirtana)
Concept: Sannidhāna: divine presence is invited and stabilized through devotion, purity, and consecratory intent; ‘niścalatā’ implies continuity of worship.
Application: In puja, conclude with a clear request for ongoing protection/presence (rakṣā, anugraha) and maintain regular offerings to sustain the devotional relationship.
Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi / Devata-stuti and boon-bestowal (Devatā-prasāda)
Primary Rasa: Shanta
Secondary Rasa: Bhakti
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Devavrata praises the sacred support as ‘all-gods-in-one’ and prays that the deities remain ever-present within it.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, devotee with folded hands before a footprint-marked śilā/arcā, soft halo showing multiple deities subtly layered, calm symmetrical composition conveying niścalatā.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore, central sacred object with large gold halo, miniature forms of Brahma-Vishnu-Rudra and goddesses suggested within the aura, devotee at base offering lamps, rich gold work emphasizing permanence.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore painting, didactic puja scene: devotee reciting, deities indicated as translucent presences entering and settling into the arcā, neat arrangement of ritual items, gentle palette.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, intimate shrine interior, devotee speaking a boon-request, subtle cloud-like aureole containing many divine faces above the sacred stone, fine architectural detailing."}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"devotional","suggested_raga":"Kalyani","pace":"slow","voice_tone":"devotional"}
Sandhi Resolution Notes: देवव्रतोवाच = देवव्रतः + उवाच; तुष्टास्थ = तुष्टाः + स्थ. The segment 'निश् चलायारसुस्य' appears textually corrupt; analysis is tentative.
Related Themes: Agni Purana stotra and puja-vidhi materials (general)
It conveys a bhakti-ritual principle: after propitiation (tuṣṭi) the devotee may seek the lasting indwelling (āveśa/ādhāra-bhāva) of the deities—i.e., sustained divine presence as the fruit of worship and vows.
Alongside practical manuals (rituals, polity, medicine, arts), the Agni Purana also preserves liturgical speech-forms—stuti and boon-requests—showing how theology and practice connect: praise → divine satisfaction → requested spiritual result.
The request ‘may you abide in me always’ frames the highest fruit of merit and devotion as continuous divine companionship/protection, implying purification of the devotee’s inner life and steadiness in dharma.
