Concept: Viṣṇu as sarva-mūrti: the one Lord approachable through manifold forms; mantra unifies devotion (Śrī) and inner power (Hrīṃ) to steady the mind.

Application: Use as an āsana/dhyāna mantra before offering upacāras; treat ‘trailokya-mohana’ as mind-gathering (citta-ākarṣaṇa) rather than coercive magic.

FAQs

It gives a compact Viṣṇu worship-mantra combining praṇava (oṃ) with bīja-syllables (śrīṃ, hrīṃ) and names (Śrīdhara, Hari), framed as a ‘Sarva-mūrti’ formula usable for Viṣṇu’s forms along with an āsana/visualization instruction.

Alongside narratives, the Agni Purāṇa preserves applied ritual technology—mantra-strings, bīja usage, naming conventions, and functional labels like ‘mohana’—showing how Purāṇas also serve as handbooks for pūjā, nyāsa, and deity-visualization across traditions.

As a Viṣṇu-centered mantra identified as ‘trailokya-mohana,’ it is presented as spiritually potent for attraction/enchanted focus (mohana) and for concentrating devotion on Viṣṇu’s all-form presence, thereby supporting purification and devotional merit when used in proper worship.
