श्रीवराह उवाच । भवतीं सप्तधा कृत्वा पुत्राणां च प्रदाय सः । प्रियव्रतस्तपस्तेपे नारदाच्छ्रुतविस्मयः ॥ ४.१० ॥

శ్రీ వరాహుడు అన్నాడు—నిన్ను ఏడు భాగాలుగా విభజించి, వాటిని తన కుమారులకు కేటాయించిన తరువాత, ప్రియవ్రతుడు నారదుని నుండి విన్నదానిపై ఆశ్చర్యపడి తపస్సు చేశాడు.
