प्रणम्य मूर्ध्ना चरणावुपगृह्य समाहितः ॥ ब्रह्माणं परिपप्रच्छ कुमारो नतिपूर्वकः

praṇamya mūrdhnā caraṇāv upagṛhya samāhitaḥ || brahmāṇaṃ paripapraccha kumāro natipūrvakaḥ

శిరస్సుతో ప్రణమించి, పాదయుగ్మాన్ని భక్తితో ఆలింగనం చేసి, సమాహితచిత్తుడై, కుమార ఋషి బ్రహ్మను వినయపూర్వకంగా విస్తారంగా ప్రశ్నించాడు।
