पिण्डदानात्तु तत्रैव पितृलोके स गच्छति ॥ गया पिण्डप्रदानेन यत्फलं लभते नरः ॥ तत्फलं लभते देवि ज्येष्ठे दानान्न संशयः ॥
piṇḍadānāt tu tatraiva pitṛloke sa gacchati || gayā piṇḍapradānena yatphalaṃ labhate naraḥ || tatphalaṃ labhate devi jyeṣṭhe dānān na saṃśayaḥ ||
అక్కడే పిండదానం చేసినవాడు పితృలోకానికి వెళ్తాడు. గయాలో పిండప్రదానంతో మనిషి పొందే ఫలమేదో, ఓ దేవీ, జ్యేష్ఠమాసంలో దానం చేయడం వల్ల అదే ఫలం లభిస్తుంది—సందేహం లేదు.
