तपस्तीव्रं समास्थाय शोषयिष्ये कलेवरम् ॥ इति निश्चित्य मनसा गत्वा भृग्वाश्रमं प्रति ॥

tapas tīvraṃ samāsthāya śoṣayiṣye kalevaram || iti niścitya manasā gatvā bhr̥gvāśramaṃ prati ||

మనసులో నిశ్చయించుకొని—“తీవ్ర తపస్సు ఆచరించి ఈ శరీరాన్ని క్షీణింపజేస్తాను”—అని భృగువాశ్రమం వైపు వెళ్లెను।
