द्वापरे तु युगे भूमे यदूनां कुलसङ्कुले ॥ तत्र शूर इति ख्यातो यदूनां वंशवर्धनः

dvāpare tu yuge bhūme yadūnāṃ kula-saṅkule || tatra śūra iti khyāto yadūnāṃ vaṃśa-vardhanaḥ

హే భూమీ, ద్వాపర యుగమున యదువుల కులసమూహము ఘనముగా ఉన్న చోట ‘శూర’ అని ఖ్యాతిగాంచినవాడు ఉండెను; అతడు యదువంశ వర్ధకుడు.
