Varaha Purana 128.25 — Adhyaya 128, Shloka 25

Rites for the comb, collyrium, and mirror; initiations for the four social orders; and the Gaṇāntikā vow/insignia

अष्टहस्तां ततो देवि संलिप्य नीयतां ततः ॥ चर्म नीलस्य छागस्य कल्पयेच्छूद्रयोनये ॥

aṣṭa-hastāṁ tato devi saṁlipya nīyatāṁ tataḥ || carma nīlasya chāgasya kalpayec chūdra-yonaye ||

తదనంతరం, ఓ దేవీ, అష్టహస్త ప్రమాణమైన స్థలం/సాధనాన్ని లేపనం చేసి తరువాత ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లాలి; శూద్రయోనికి నీలవర్ణ మేక చర్మాన్ని సిద్ధం చేయాలి।
