dakṣiṇāṃ diśamāsthāya yatkiṃcittatra dīyate | caṇḍīśasya varārohe tatsarvaṃ cākṣayaṃ bhavet
ఓ వరారోహే! దక్షిణ దిశను ఆశ్రయించి చండీశుని నిమిత్తం అక్కడ ఏదైనా దానం చేస్తే, అది అంతా అక్షయ ఫలమవుతుంది।
Implied Īśvara (Śiva), addressing Devī (Pārvatī)
Tirtha: Caṇḍīśa-sannidhi (within Prabhāsa)
Type: temple
Listener: Devī (addressed as varārohe)
Scene: Near a Caṇḍīśa shrine, a donor faces south and offers gifts; an inscription-like aura suggests ‘akṣaya’ merit, with priests witnessing the saṅkalpa.
In a sanctified place, even small gifts become great—right place and right rite make merit enduring.
The Caṇḍīśa-related sacred spot within Prabhāsa Kṣetra, emphasizing the southern side/direction.
Give charity while facing the southern direction in the Caṇḍīśa context to obtain akṣaya (imperishable) merit.
