प्रतिष्ठितवती चात्र यस्माल्लिंगं महोदयम् । त्वं सर्वसरितां श्रेष्ठा सर्वपातकनाशिनी । तस्माद्भैरवनामेति लिंगं ख्यातिं गमिष्यति

Transliteration

pratiṣṭhitavatī cātra yasmālliṃgaṃ mahodayam | tvaṃ sarvasaritāṃ śreṣṭhā sarvapātakanāśinī | tasmādbhairavanāmeti liṃgaṃ khyātiṃ gamiṣyati

Translation

నీవు ఇక్కడ మహోదయమైన, అత్యంత శుభప్రదమైన లింగాన్ని ప్రతిష్ఠించావు; అందువల్ల నీవు సమస్త నదులలో శ్రేష్ఠవు, సమస్త పాపనాశినివు। కాబట్టి ఈ లింగం ‘భైరవ’ అనే నామంతో ప్రసిద్ధి పొందుతుంది।
