Transliteration

gṛhāṇamūlyaṃ padmānāṃ na gṛhītaṃ mayā hi tat | sāttvikaṃ bhāvamāsthāya sabhāryeṇa dvijottamāḥ

Translation

ఆమె చెప్పింది—‘పద్మాల ధర స్వీకరించండి’; కాని నేను దానిని తీసుకోలేదు. ఓ ద్విజోత్తములారా, భార్యతో కూడి నేను సాత్త్విక భావాన్ని ఆశ్రయించి ఆ పవిత్ర సంకల్పంలోనే నిలిచితిని.
