Transliteration

suparṇena purā devi pātālādamṛtaṃ hṛtam | gṛhītvā tatra muktaṃ tu nāgānāṃ paśyatāṃ kila

Translation

హే దేవీ! పూర్వకాలంలో సుపర్ణుడు పాతాళం నుండి అమృతాన్ని అపహరించాడు; దానిని పట్టుకొని అక్కడే, నాగులు చూస్తుండగానే, విడిచిపెట్టినాడని చెబుతారు।
