अश्वत्थफलनिर्यासपानात्प्राणा मया धृताः । गौणं तदा तया तस्य पिप्पलादेति कल्पि तम्

Transliteration

aśvatthaphalaniryāsapānātprāṇā mayā dhṛtāḥ | gauṇaṃ tadā tayā tasya pippalādeti kalpi tam

Translation

అతడు, “అశ్వత్థ (పిప్పల) ఫలరసం త్రాగి నేను ప్రాణాలను నిలుపుకున్నాను” అని చెప్పాడు. అందువల్ల ఆమె అతనికి గౌణనామంగా ‘పిప్పలాద’ అని పెట్టింది.
