एतस्मात्कारणाद्देवि मूलचण्डीशसंज्ञितम् । लिंगं पापहरं नृणामर्द्धचन्द्रेण भूषितम्
etasmātkāraṇāddevi mūlacaṇḍīśasaṃjñitam | liṃgaṃ pāpaharaṃ nṛṇāmarddhacandreṇa bhūṣitam
దేవీ! ఈ కారణముచేత ఆ లింగము ‘మూలచండీశ’ అనే నామముతో ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. అది మనుష్యుల పాపములను హరించును, అర్ధచంద్రంతో అలంకృతమై యుండును.
