सर्वे विषादमापन्ना बांधवाश्च परे जनाः । अशोभनमिदं वाक्यं कन्यया यत्प्रभाषितम् । इत्युक्त्वा तु गताः सर्वे जननीजनबांधवाः
sarve viṣādamāpannā bāṃdhavāśca pare janāḥ | aśobhanamidaṃ vākyaṃ kanyayā yatprabhāṣitam | ityuktvā tu gatāḥ sarve jananījanabāṃdhavāḥ
అప్పుడు ఆమె బంధువులందరూ, ఇతర జనులూ విషాదంలో పడి— “కన్య పలికిన ఈ మాట శోభనమైనది కాదు” అని అన్నారు. అలా చెప్పి తల్లి వైపు వారితో సహా బంధువులందరూ అక్కడి నుంచి వెళ్లిపోయారు।
