Transliteration

aśvatthaṃ paścime caiva palāśaṃ cottare kramāt | bāhudaṃḍapramāṇena dhvajāṃstatra niveśya vai

Translation

అతడు పడమరలో అశ్వత్థ (పీపల్) వృక్షాన్ని, క్రమంగా ఉత్తరంలో పలాశ వృక్షాన్ని స్థాపించాడు. అక్కడ బాహుదండ ప్రమాణంతో ధ్వజాలను కూడా నిలిపాడు.
