దేవి పలికెను—ఓ మహాదేవా! భ్రమిస్థలో స్థితుడైన సవితృ (సూర్యుడు)ను ఆయన శ్వశురుడు, ప్రియ జామాతగా భావించి, ప్రేమపూర్వకంగా క్షురధారతో తక్షించాడు.
