ईश्वर उवाच । आसीत्पुरा महादेवि सती चाध मयोनिजा । अक्षमालेति वै नाम्ना सतीधर्मपरायणा

Transliteration

īśvara uvāca | āsītpurā mahādevi satī cādha mayonijā | akṣamāleti vai nāmnā satīdharmaparāyaṇā

Translation

ఈశ్వరుడు పలికెను - ఓ మహాదేవీ! పూర్వము అక్షమాల అను పేరు గల ఒక పతివ్రత ఉండెను, ఆమె తక్కువ కులమున జన్మించిననూ సతీధర్మమునందు నిష్ఠ గలది.
