अस्मिन्मन्वन्तरे क्षिप्तः सागरैश्च चतुर्दिशम् । तस्येदं कीर्तितं देवि नाम सागरसंज्ञितम्
asminmanvantare kṣiptaḥ sāgaraiśca caturdiśam | tasyedaṃ kīrtitaṃ devi nāma sāgarasaṃjñitam
హే దేవి, ఈ మన్వంతరంలో అతడు నాలుగు దిశలలో సాగరములచే క్షిప్తుడై విస్తరించెను; అందువల్ల ఈ స్థలం ‘సాగర’ అనే నామంతో కీర్తింపబడుతుంది.
