युगेयुगे शोधयेत्तांस्तेन कंटकशोधिनी । आश्वयुक्छुक्लपक्षे तु नवम्यां तामथार्चयेत्

Transliteration

yugeyuge śodhayettāṃstena kaṃṭakaśodhinī | āśvayukchuklapakṣe tu navamyāṃ tāmathārcayet

Translation

యుగయుగాలలో ఆమె ఆ కంటకములైన ఉపద్రవాలను శుద్ధి చేసి తొలగిస్తుంది; అందుకే ఆమెకు ‘కంటకశోధినీ’ అనే నామం. ఆశ్వయుజ శుక్లపక్ష నవమి నాడు ఆమెను భక్తితో ఆరాధించవలెను.
