taṃ dṛṣṭvā pūjayāmāsa śāstradṛṣṭena vartmanā | pratyutthānābhivādābhyāmarghyapādyādibhistathā

ఆయనను చూచి శాస్త్రోక్త విధానమున అతిథి-సత్కారము చేసెను—లేచి ఎదుర్కొని నమస్కరించి, అర్ఘ్యము, పాద్యము మొదలైన స్వాగతక్రియలను సమర్పించెను।
