krīḍārthaṃ parvataśreṣṭhe tāṃ dadarśa śubhekṣaṇām | tataḥ kāmaśarairviddhastāmuvāca sumadhyamām

క్రీడార్థముగా ఆ శ్రేష్ఠ పర్వతమునకు వచ్చి, శుభనేత్రియైన ఆమెను అతడు చూచెను. ఆపై కామబాణములతో విద్ధుడై, ఆ సుమధ్యమను ఉద్దేశించి పలికెను.
