सूत उवाच । नाना तीर्थानि लोकेऽस्मिन्येषां संख्या न विद्यते । तिस्रः कोट्योऽर्द्धकोटिश्च तेषां संख्या कृता पुरा
sūta uvāca | nānā tīrthāni loke'sminyeṣāṃ saṃkhyā na vidyate | tisraḥ koṭyo'rddhakoṭiśca teṣāṃ saṃkhyā kṛtā purā
సూతుడు పలికెను—ఈ లోకంలో అనేక తీర్థములు ఉన్నవి; వాటి సంఖ్యను నిశ్చయంగా తెలిసికొనుట సాధ్యం కాదు. అయినను పూర్వకాలంలో వాటి సంఖ్య మూడు కోట్లు మరియు మరొక అర్ధకోటి అని చెప్పబడెను।
