अहो मे तनयोऽभीष्टः कथमद्य न दृश्यते । कूपांतः पतितः किं नु किं व्यालैर्वा निपातितः
aho me tanayo'bhīṣṭaḥ kathamadya na dṛśyate | kūpāṃtaḥ patitaḥ kiṃ nu kiṃ vyālairvā nipātitaḥ
అయ్యో! నా ప్రియ కుమారుడు ఈ రోజు ఎందుకు కనబడటం లేదు? అతడు బావిలో పడిపోయాడా, లేక ఏదైనా క్రూర మృగం అతనిని పడగొట్టిందా?
