ब्राह्मणा ऊचुः । यदि त्वं भोक्तुकामस्तु समायातो व्रज द्रुतम् । एतस्यां सत्रशालायां भुञ्जते यत्र तापसाः । दीनान्धाः कृपणाश्चैव ततः क्षुत्क्षामकंठिताः
brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | yadi tvaṃ bhoktukāmastu samāyāto vraja drutam | etasyāṃ satraśālāyāṃ bhuñjate yatra tāpasāḥ | dīnāndhāḥ kṛpaṇāścaiva tataḥ kṣutkṣāmakaṃṭhitāḥ
బ్రాహ్మణులు పలికిరి—నీవు భోజనాభిలాషతో వచ్చితివే యెడల, శీఘ్రముగా వెళ్ళుము. ఈ సత్రశాలలో యత్ర తపస్వులు భుజించుదురో, తత్ర దీనులు, అంధులు, కృపణులును—క్షుధచేత కంఠము ఎండిపోయి క్షీణించినవారు—భుజించుదురు.
