gṛhaprāsādavidyābhūgokūpaprāṇahāṭakam | etānyuttamadānāni uttamadravyadānataḥ

ఇల్లు, ప్రాసాదం, విద్యాదానం, భూమి, గోవులు, బావి, ప్రాణరక్షణ, స్వర్ణం—ఇవి ‘ఉత్తమ దానాలు’; ఎందుకంటే ఇవి ఉత్తమ ద్రవ్యాలూ జీవనాధారాలూ దానములు.
