ఇవికాక ఇంకా ఎక్కువ (తీర్థములు) ఉన్నాయని మార్కండేయుడు పలికాడు. వ్యాసద్వీపాన్ని ఆశ్రయించినవి ఎనభై ఎనిమిది వేల (తీర్థములు) అని కూడా చెప్పబడింది.
