dvādaśādityanirdagdhāḥ śailāḥ śīrṇaśilāḥ pṛthak | bhasmībhūtāstu dṛśyante na naṣṭā narmadā tadā

పన్నెండు ఆదిత్యుల తాపానికి దగ్ధమైన పర్వతాలు, విరిగిన శిలలతో విడివిడిగా నిలిచాయి; అవి భస్మమై కనిపించాయి—కాని ఆ సమయంలో నర్మద నశించలేదు।
